OMSA relaunches Ciudad Juan Bosch corridor with 25 buses; service will be free for 15 days

SANTO DOMINGO– The Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA) announced this Friday the relaunch of the Ciudad Juan Bosch with 25 refurbished and refurbished buses, which will serve to assist the citizens of this locality and surrounding areas with free services for fifteen days.

These transport services will run from Ciudad Juan Bosch, connecting with the Las Américas marginal road, the Ecological Avenue, the Hippodrome and the Mella highway, which will expand mobility alternatives for residents of this community and nearby sectors.

What does the service offer and how much will it cost?

The corridor will be operating from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a fare of 35 pesos, which will allow access to the integrated fare system.

According to OMSA, the units will have air conditioning and wifi service, with the aim of offering users a more comfortable, efficient service that meets their mobility needs.

OMSA's Executive Vice President, Onéximo González, highlighted that the incorporation of these units is part of the transformation process that the institution is developing to offer a more modern, clean, comfortable and citizen-friendly transportation service.

“We are working to ensure that every user of OMSA services finds a better transportation experience. The renewal of our buses, the new image, and the hygiene processes are all part of the same goal: to provide quality service to citizens,” said González.

The event where the new measure was announced concluded with a ride on one of the renovated buses, with a female driver at the wheel, to reaffirm the organization's commitment to female inclusion.

It is worth noting that the institution has an active program for the inclusion and hiring of women as bus drivers, for which it promotes continuous training plans to transform category 2 licenses to category 3, so that more women can become part of its female operational staff.

A distinctive graphic style for each runner

OMSA also announced that it will implement a distinctive graphic design for its corridors, with the purpose of facilitating their identification by users and, at the same time, maintaining a unified institutional image.

The Ciudad Juan Bosch route will be one of the first to feature this distinct visual identity. It will maintain OMSA's institutional blue, associated with values such as trust, stability, unity, and organization, combined with orange, yellow, and blue waves, with touches of green, highlighting the white logo.

This proposal will allow users to easily recognize the units corresponding to each corridor, through unique graphic elements that will visually differentiate one service from another.

The strategy seeks to establish a particular identity for each corridor without losing the elements that identify OMSA as an institution, the entity highlighted.
