SANTO DOMINGO.- Danielis Fermín, a communicator and digital journalist, asserted that the key for companies to transcend lies in communicating correctly what they do.
While participating as an exhibitor at the third CENI Expo Forum, held on May 2nd at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel, the social media community manager urged brands to tell stories because "people connect with people, that's why we have to tell stories.".
Discussing the role of social media in the current era, Fermín made it clear that it is not necessary to be present in all of them, but rather to create accounts on those social networks "that help us connect quickly with many people.".
“We get overwhelmed, we need to reduce our anxiety about the number of followers and focus on having clear objectives, why I am on a social network, knowing the audience I am talking to, it is not the same to sell a house to a family as to a single woman,” the expert explained.
He insisted that companies must identify where their audience is. “If it’s luxury properties, perhaps TikTok. Identify the message that connects with that brand, highlight the benefits that property offers, be consistent, and have patience,” he recommended.

Regarding the useful content that should be present on a daily basis on social media, Fermín recommended publishing valuable information, such as asking questions, sharing historical events, tutorials, before-and-after comparisons, famous quotes, success stories, and "learning to sell without selling." "The content should entertain, educate, inform, and inspire," he noted.
She suggested scheduling and planning content and learning the art of storytelling. “People have different needs. Sharing anecdotes and experiences becomes a way to change other people’s perspectives,” she stated.
Regarding the tools that can currently be used, he cited ChatGPT, Answer, Gemini, Capcut, Canva, Facetune, among others.
He highlighted the use of quality images on social media.
“Your story is what many people need to hear to break free from stagnation and see the light at the end of the tunnel,” the specialist concluded.
