SANTO DOMINGO – As part of its initiatives to promote health tourism in the Dominican Republic, the Dominican Association of Health Tourism and AF Strategic Communication announced the celebration of the eighth edition of the International Congress of Health and Wellness Tourism, with the objective of addressing topics of interest related to the health, tourism, investment, finance, insurance, technology and wellness sectors, together with national and international leaders who are experts in these areas.
The event will take place on June 9 and 10, 2027, at a hotel in Santo Domingo. Its purpose is to foster strategic alliances, attract investment, promote the creation of high-value-added jobs, accelerate the transfer of technology and knowledge, and strengthen the country's position as a leading international tourist and medical destination.
In that regard, Alejandro Cambiaso and Amelia Reyes Mora highlighted that the congress has established itself as one of the main regional platforms for the integration and development of health and wellness tourism.
Reyes Mora also highlighted the importance of the meeting as a space for the exchange of ideas and experiences among the different sectors that influence the growth and development of these industries.
“We bring together those who have the ability to generate synergies,” he said.
