MOPC opens call for internships for construction students: what do you need to know to participate?

SANTO DOMINGO. – The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced this Thursday a call for applications from graduating students and graduates of engineering, architecture, and surveying to participate in the selection process for the Internship Rectorship program, aimed at professionals who need to complete an internship as a requirement to obtain membership in the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects, and Surveyors (CODIA).

In that sense, those interested in participating must complete a registration process and meet a series of requirements established by the institution.

The MOPC reported that applicants must register in the Ministry's Intern Selection Bank.

They will also have to complete the Internship Application Form and submit the required documents in person at the Internship Rector's Office, located on the second floor of the MOPC central building.

Required documentation

To complete the application process, interested parties must fill out the official form of the MOPC internship section and submit the corresponding documentation.

Documents to participate in the selection of the Rector's Office for Interns

Applicants must submit the following documents:

One (1) 2x2 photograph.

Three (3) copies of the identity and electoral card.

Three (3) copies of documents that prove the completion of the study plan, the last subject passed or the grade record.

Updated curriculum vitae.

A duly completed Internship Application Form is available for download or pickup at the relevant office.

Be a graduating student or graduate of engineering, architecture or surveying.

ID

The student or graduate must present the required identification documents, including a copy of their identity and electoral card.

Academic evidence

Similarly, you must submit proof of completion of the curriculum, the last subject, thesis, or final project, as applicable. Graduates may submit their university degree.

Contact information and references

Finally, personal references that are not from family members will be required, in addition to up-to-date contact information and location data.

The MOPC's Internship Office informs that it is receiving applications to join the Intern Selection Bank for professionals who need to complete their internship as a requirement to obtain membership in CODIA.

Who participates?

According to the announcement, those who have completed their course of study (last subject, thesis or final work) or those who are already university graduates in engineering and surveying will be able to participate.
