They will hold the 1st Construction Forum on the present and future of public-private investment

SANTO DOMINGO. The Dominican Confederation of Micro, Small and Medium Construction Companies announced that the “1st Construction Forum Copymecon 2024: Present and Future of Public and Private Investment” will be held this Wednesday, May 8th. 

The event will begin at 8:00 AM in the Brussels Room of the Catalonia Hotel and will last until 1:00 PM.

“The objective of the 1st COPYMECON 2024 Construction Forum is to publicize the policies and actions of the Central Government regarding the investments that have enabled the development of the construction industry, in all its aspects (road infrastructure, housing, among others),” highlights the event agenda.

He adds that it also seeks to highlight the contribution made by the private sector, creating a space for socialization and analysis for the different key players in the construction industry in the Dominican Republic.

It adds that the activity aims to be a catalyst for the transformation of the construction sector in the Dominican Republic, promoting innovation, strategic collaboration and sustainability.

“This event seeks to inspire new ideas, generate creative solutions and establish dynamic alliances that enhance the growth and resilience of our construction industry for the future,” the document states.

Program

The welcoming remarks will be given by Eliseo Cristopher, president of Copymecon, while the opening will be given by Ricardo De Los Santos, president of the Senate.

The presentation “Advances in Permitting for Housing Construction in the Republic” will be given by Vivian Reyes, Vice Minister of Standards, Regulations and Procedures of the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED).

The program states that there will be an exhibition on the “Progress and projections of the Dominicana se Reconstruye program”, with Ángel García, Vice Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings of MIVHED.

Camel Cury, Vice Minister of Investment Projects and Director of the PNVFF at the Ministry of the Presidency (MINPRE), will explain the achievements and projections of the National Happy Family Housing Plan (PNVFF).

 “Impact of the Trust on the Construction of Low-Cost Housing” will feature Noel Bou, business director of Fiduciaria Reservas, as the speaker.

Likewise, Paula González, director of Commercial Alliances at Banreservas, will be in charge of the proposals regarding achievements and projections for low-cost housing financing in the country.

The keynote address “Housing construction in the Dominican Republic. Advances and trends” will be given by Carlos Bonilla, Minister of MIVHED.
