The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) reported that remittances received in the country between January and March 2022 totaled US$2,396.2 million, approximately US$200 million less than in 2021. However, this figure is higher than the amounts received during the same period in 2019 and 2020, according to data provided by the institution. Last March, remittances totaled US$888.1 million, an amount higher than that received in January and February, but 10.7% lower than in the same month of 2021.
