PLAYA DORADA, PUERTO PLATA.– The business groups Velutini and Iemca announced the construction of a Blue Mall plaza in the Playa Dorada tourist complex, located in the Puerto Plata destination.

Luis Emilio Velutini reported that negotiations with the Central Bank are progressing well, to build the building in the parking area at the exit of the complex.

He said the plaza will have an open, village-like design, with two anchor stores and a mixed commercial development, which will be designed by architect Sarah Garcia de Casoni. 

The announcement was made while presenting the second stage of the Green One Playa Dorada project, whose initiative transforms the old Victorian Puerto Plata Village hotel into a residential project of beach villas, recreational, commercial and second homes, giving a contemporary style to the original infrastructure.  

“The main objective of the Green One Playa Dorada project is to provide its buyers with confidence and security in their investment, as well as guaranteeing a welcoming stay that allows them peace and comfort,” said Luis Emilio Velutini.

Facilities

Green One features a medical clinic, beach club, in-building pools, a communal pool, a gym, and a spa. In addition to its proximity to the beaches of the North Coast, this project is located minutes from downtown San Felipe Puerto Plata, home to the city's iconic attractions.

This second phase of the project includes the construction of 28 two-level villas and 220 apartments located in 11 building towers, as well as the continuation of the remodeling of the structures and the entire space of the former Puerto Plata Village, to give rise to the new Green One Playa Dorada.

The project will generate 250 direct jobs and more than 150 indirect jobs in this second stage.
