"As a company, we are committed to corporate innovation, in light of the new environments, characterized by hybrid models, which combine remote and in-person work.".
SANTO DOMINGO – Xtriba, which means tribe in Portuguese, comes from the Latin word tribus, meaning three and synonymous with family. Three shareholder partners, one vision, two generations, and three points of view, joining forces in the same direction, combining maturity and youth, experience and innovation.
Edgar Martínez, along with his sons José Alejandro and Javier Enrique Martínez, lead the Xtriba Inmobiliaria tribe, a family-owned company dedicated to real estate management (buying, selling and renting properties), specializing in investment advice.
The father, CEO; José Alejandro, media manager; and Javier Enrique, senior real estate agent. With this trio and their slogan “Your home in our hands,” El Inmobiliario, the digital newspaper, launches today, November 1, 2022, a series of articles on “Real Estate Families,” which aims to highlight the family ties of some of the firms in the sector.
“Beyond selling, we manage to materialize the dreams of our clients, we humanize our services to connect with the emotions of the clients,” explains Edgar Martínez, CEO of the company.
Xtriba Inmobiliaria belongs to the EM+A Group holding company, a business group made up of various companies dedicated to civil works construction and real estate management.
Although the company's captain has been involved in the construction sector for 32 years and in real estate for five, the idea for the agency officially materialized when it was established as a Limited Liability Company – SRL in August of last year.

Xtriba is made up of a multidisciplinary team of professionals, advisors specializing in the real estate sector, committed to the excellence and effectiveness of their services, explains Martínez, who assures that the exercise of his brand is based “on personal values, framed in corporate social responsibility, focused on three elements of the social dimension: customer satisfaction, code of ethics and generation of well-being.
More than 540 housing projects under development, including first and second homes in cities, beaches, and mountains nationwide, are part of the real estate company's inventory; the portfolio also includes the sale and purchase of land, commercial spaces, offices, and other properties.
There are reasons to prefer Xtriba as real estate advisors, says architect Martínez: “In a market as competitive as el inmobiliario we distinguish ourselves by the attention and dedication we provide to our clients from the very first moment, conveying the trust and closeness required to start, develop and successfully complete a process as important as buying, selling, renting, or any other of the services we offer.”.
Three things that the experienced professional advises agents to do, and which they apply at Xtriba to achieve success.
- Focus not on selling, but on the human being.
- Connecting with customers' emotions.
- Act on the truth.
- To advise sellers and buyers objectively, based on market realities.
- To accompany seller and buyer clients through the processes up to the delivery of the units.
“This impacts the safety, trust, and loyalty of customers,” he explains.
He notes that real estate agents today remain committed to acquiring knowledge and, to a large extent, to meeting the need for professionalization and formalization of their practice. “There is a widespread and positive attitude of collaboration among colleagues.”.
As a team leader, the CEO of Xtriba shares some key strategies that work for him to stay on top of his goals.
- Teamwork
- Having defined, agreed upon, and measurable objectives
- Clarity in the definition of roles
- Develop a clear, precise, and measurable process model, in accordance with the variables and circumstances of the moment.

“As a company, we are committed to corporate innovation, in light of the new environments, characterized by hybrid models, which combine remote and in-person work.”.
Martínez understands that currently, the real estate sector in the country is experiencing a moment of great challenges and demands, where a process of reorganization and implementation of a regulatory framework for the practice of brokerage is imminent.
In this regard, it is considered appropriate to promote and encourage the approval of the bill currently before the National Congress, which would regulate real estate in the country. “In this sense, it is necessary to recognize the efforts of the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI) and other stakeholders in the sector for the development, professionalization, and consolidation of the industry, through significant contributions to training and professional development, as well as raising awareness aimed at ethical practice.”.
