The entryway is the first thing we see when entering and leaving our home every day. All of this makes it one of the most important rooms to consider when decorating a house, and a favorite among interior designers, one that deserves careful attention and attention.

1- Colors

In addition to placing a mirror, which may or may not be located above the console, we can also put a picture or two on the wall or some special piece, such as the macrame decorations that are so fashionable this year, or another hanging object that is elegant, without overloading the space (it is always better to err on the side of less than excess).
6-Plants and flowers
Adding plants—whether small or large, artificial or real—and/or fresh flowers always brings life, warmth, and color to an entryway. If you choose a large plant, always select a beautiful and elegant pot or basket, and if you opt for fresh flowers, look for a special decorative vase.

In addition to the drawers and baskets in the console or entryway furniture we've already mentioned, it's very important that the entryway space is always as tidy as possible, meaning it should be as clear of clutter as possible. To achieve this, we should try to have storage solutions where we can put everything we need and keep it out of sight.
For example, if we can install a small wardrobe, however small, to store the outerwear we use most often and our handbags, it will always be much better than having a clothes rack overflowing with garments that overwhelms us when we get home. Or, if we can have a small trunk to store our shoes for the day so we can slip on our slippers, that's always better too (and our parquet floor will thank us for it). Another practical and attractive option is to use a nice shoe rack instead of a console table.
8-Coat rack or bag hanger
When storage space is limited, coat racks or hangers for clothes, bags, etc., are often necessary. These range from very simple pieces, like a wooden wall sconce, to elaborate and attractive units from well-known furniture brands, some even including a built-in bench.
9-Details
Small details are always important and make all the difference in a room. I'm talking about everything from cushions, rugs, and curtains to candles, lanterns, key holders, a clock, or a meaningful photo frame. All of these should be carefully chosen and always used sparingly.
10-The object that greets you in the entryway: the doormat!
Some people opt for the practicality of large doormats with bristles made of rubber, coconut fiber, polypropylene, or similar materials, so they can effectively clean their shoes before entering the house, especially if they're covered in mud or grit from the street. But how often do we actually do that? It takes a lot of specific circumstances (rain, coming in from the street instead of the car or garage, etc.).
