SANTO DOMINGO– The Royal Spanish Academy defines sensitivity as the unique way of feeling or thinking. And, I would add, it is the feeling that awakens compassion, love, and tenderness in people, and that impels them to react to the pain of others, to act, and even inspires and motivates them to take action in support of those in need.

Fanny De los Santos and Ada Cuevas are driven by that word, and it's the reason they've spent four years delivering toys to children in extremely impoverished communities. Their motto is to share what God gives them with those in need.

“It fills us with joy to give to others what God gives us, and we also contribute our little bit,” says Ada, CEO of M-Pire Real Estate Group, highlighting that this December the distribution took place in a batey located at Km 58 of the Villa Altagracia community.

Her commitment to worthy causes predates the founding of her company, which will celebrate its second anniversary this coming February. She has carried this passion with her to the company, and every year she places a donation box in her office, where she and her partner Fanny lead the monthly fundraising efforts, distributing the funds three times a year: during the school year, on Christmas Day, and on Three Kings' Day.

“It’s our corporate social responsibility program that we’ve embraced as a commitment. Not only us, but our sales team is also involved, and we also have generous volunteers who help with their donations every year,” Cuevas points out.

This year, approximately 350 children were brought joy through the distribution of a variety of toys in both Villa Altagracia and Boca Chica. These compassionate young women, whose area of operation includes Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, and Las Terrenas, will continue working to spread joy with their kind hearts. We hope they find many more partners in their mission.
