NEW YORK –Former baseball player Alex Rodriguez has purchased a luxurious $9.9 million apartment in this city, directly across from Central Park. One of the property's biggest draws is the breathtaking view it offers of this iconic American landmark.
According to various media outlets, including EL DIARIO, a publication dedicated to Hispanics in NY, the player had to convince the condominium owners to admit him, as they did not want to disturb the peace of the community with the presence of a celebrity.

It is common for the most expensive and luxurious buildings in the Big Apple to be owned by superstars from all areas; however, the place where Rodriguez bought was quite secretive about this.
Rodriguez's new property spans 3,600 square feet, distributed across three bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a foyer, kitchen, dining room, living room, main hall, office, laundry room, and other amenities.
Last year, the former baseball player also rented a large mansion in the same city. He recently put his Miami, Florida mansion, which he had bought just days before his breakup with JLo, up for sale. According to several media outlets, Rodriguez wanted to make the place a vacation spot for the couple.
The kitchen that the baseball player will enjoy features a checkerboard floor, a combination of gray cabinets and a central island that's more of a large wooden table, giving the space a rather unique touch. It's also equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances.

900 square feet of the 3,600 square feet of total property area belong to the master bedroom, which has two bathrooms, a dressing room and a door that goes directly to other bedrooms.
