Licenses without project data

Six of the 39 building permits in the Santo Domingo Este province appear in the Excel document downloaded this Wednesday, October 21, from the Mivhed website, but without square footage or investment information: three for apartments, two for commercial and office buildings, and one for special structures, located in Ensanche Ozama, Residencial Marañón, Santa Cruz, Las Caobas, Lechería, and La Guáyiga. The registry does not indicate why this data is missing.

The Director of Processing and Valuation, Miguelina Altagracia Santana Báez, explained during the Mivhed en Marcha meeting that residential buildings maintain the greatest dynamism among the licenses for 2026.

Housing Minister Jean Luis Rodríguez announced on October 11, during a meeting with the Association of Developers and Builders of La Altagracia (ADECLA) in Punta Cana, that September closed with a national record of 203 building permits, as reported by El Inmobiliario on October 14. At the same event, he announced the strengthening of the Single Window for Construction 2.0 and the goal of reducing the permit issuance time to 30 days for projects that meet the requirements. He clarified that the simplification of procedures will not imply a reduction in safety or quality standards for buildings.
