Samaná Bayport and World Central Kitchen join forces to deliver food to affected families in Samaná

SAMANÁ. Samaná Bayport, the cruise port of Samaná, in partnership with the philanthropic organization World Central Kitchen, have joined forces to donate food to the communities most affected by Hurricane Fiona.

Hundreds of families in Samaná have received food rations as aid to cope with the effects of the hurricane. Francisco Schad of Samaná Bayport commented that he has a strong commitment to Samaná and its people, "which is why today we are honoring this duty by offering a helping hand to the families most affected after Hurricane Fiona.".

In this way, Samaná Bayport and World Central Kitchen, the organization founded by Chef José Andrés that is dedicated to bringing quality and highly nutritious food to areas affected by natural disasters, have joined forces to deliver more than 2,000 food rations.

“We will remain in close contact with the people of Samaná, contributing our part towards a swift recovery and stabilization of the most affected communities,” Schad concluded.

With this alliance, the Consortium seeks to continue supporting the inhabitants of the province in their recovery, especially those living in more remote populations whose access was limited after the hurricane.
