El Inmobiliario
SANTO DOMINGO – Media Group El Inmobiliario, March 8, 2025, was a doubly special date. That morning, she saw the birth of a new professional venture: the magazine “Mujer de Concreto” (Concrete Woman), coinciding with the celebration of International Women's Day.
Everyone present witnessed this event when the clock struck 8:55 a.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Punta Cana. Ana María took the floor, brimming with pride, to address the guests who had gathered for this momentous occasion.
"This magazine is for you, Woman of Concrete, brave and valuable. We present it to you today, International Women's Day, as an editorial proposal whose content we hope will be useful and contribute to boosting this great industry," she expressed with determination.
With these words, the launch of the magazine was made official, a space dedicated to highlighting, recognizing and celebrating the work of women in the real estate and construction sector in the Dominican Republic.
During the event, Ramos took the opportunity to share some very important news for the sector. As part of the commemorative activities for the fifth anniversary of El Inmobiliario, which will be celebrated in 2026, she announced the creation of the “Concrete Woman Award,” a recognition that will highlight the career and impact of the most influential women in the market during 2025.
In her welcoming speech, she highlighted that, throughout history, women's journey has been marked by challenges and achievements, a path where barriers have been broken to occupy leadership positions in various areas of society.
"The challenges for women, however, remain latent, and therefore it is not unusual that when embarking on new paths in the various areas of knowledge or productivity, we face doubts and skepticism," she revealed.
Just as many women have faced obstacles in their professional and business development, Ana María has also experienced this reality during the first stage of El Inmobiliario.
She recalled how, in the early days of the publication, she received constant calls asking who the “owner or investors” of the digital and print newspaper were. But the reality was even harsher. She recounted how, during a trade fair, her project was dismissed simply because it was led by a woman.

"I only put these references in context because El Inmobiliario 's journey has been full of special connections, of women and men identified with our work who have extended their helping hand to boost our project," he said, recalling the achievements reached and the challenges overcome.
Her words were full of inspiration. She took the opportunity to share her philosophy of life with those present, based on two fundamental pillars: focus and discipline.
"Focus and discipline are my favorite recipe. Don't waste your time showing the world what you have, but rather what you are, what you are worth, and most importantly, believe in yourselves and always give the world what you do best and in the right way," she advised.
From the birth of this medium, being a woman and aware of the impact of the female community in the sector, she conceived the magazine as a tribute to all women.
She revealed that although the idea was not in the immediate plans, the spark arose in November and, just a few months later, the magazine "Mujer de Concreto" is already a reality.
“Mujer de Concreto fills a gap in a population that is the majority in real estate and the construction sector. The growth of female leadership has been remarkable in recent years, with professionals who are making their mark in a field traditionally labeled as male-dominated,” she emphasized.
She also said that the magazine reflects the unwavering woman, the one who perseveres despite challenges, the one who inspires, leads, and transforms.
"We celebrate the birth of this medium aimed at the woman who gives life, love without limits, the one who undertakes without reservations until she achieves her goal, the dedicated, disciplined and focused leader, those who are the pillars of the industry, those who have planted the seed that today bears fruit in a good harvest," he stated.
But the recognition transcends borders. In her speech, Ramos also highlighted the immigrants, those women who have come from other countries hoping to build a better future for themselves and their families.
“To the adventurous women who have come from other latitudes, hopeful in the charms, opportunities, and security that the country offers, seeking to export a better future to their homeland, to the blacksmiths who strive to get their lives going. To all of them, our tribute from this new platform that rises to recognize their commendable work,” he expressed.
