SANTO DOMINGO- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced that it will close vehicular traffic on the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River this Saturday, May 6, to allow passage for a vessel.
According to the director of bridge maintenance for Public Works, engineer Romer Francisco Pérez Vargas, the closure will only be effective from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. today, Saturday, May 6, 2023.
The Floating Bridge connects the Colonial City of Santo Domingo with the Villa Duarte sector and the East of the country.
The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) asks for the public's understanding, especially from those who travel along that structure, for the inconveniences that the measure may cause.
