SANTO DOMINGO.-The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that today, Wednesday, April 10, traffic on the Floating Bridge will be interrupted for one hour.
According to a post on the institution's website, the closure will be from 2:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon, to allow passage for the dredge Santo Domingo, ARD.
The Floating Bridge connects the National District with Villa Duarte, in the municipality of Santo Domingo East, and serves as a great relief to vehicular traffic, especially during peak hours.
The MOPC apologizes to the public, especially to drivers who travel using that road.
The Floating Bridge was installed in the 1990s in the port area of Santo Domingo as a temporary alternative to connect Avenida del Puerto and España on the eastern bank of the Ozama River
