Real Estate Registry services experience a 26% year-on-year increase

183,708 applications for title registration were received, of which 126,124 were issued; 42,641 cadastral surveys, 26,049 boundary demarcations and 78,900 legal status certifications were issued.   

SANTO DOMINGO.– A total of 237,735 procedures related to the areas of title registration and cadastral surveys were processed by the Real Estate Registry (RI) during the first half of the year, representing an increase of 26% in relation to the first half of 2021.   

According to the figures shown by the agency on its processes and services, the RI provided an average solution rate of 105.08%, of which the greatest demand for registration and surveying procedures was received from the provinces of Santo Domingo, National District, Santiago, La Altagracia and La Vega, as well as from the North and East zones, respectively.  

In the area of ​​Cadastral Surveys, a total of 42,641 requests were processed, of which 81.4% were received through the institution's digital platforms, virtual office and the RIMóvil application.

The degree registries received 183,708 applications, of which 76.41% were submitted in person and 23.59% online. A total of 126,124 degree certificates were issued.   

 “Our efforts are focused on continuing to strengthen the use of our digital channels with the goal of further simplifying and streamlining processes and, most importantly, facilitating due diligence for all the services we offer from the RI to exceed the expectations of our users,” said engineer Jhonattan Toribio Frías, the entity's general manager.  

The institution highlights that 282,529 users were served at the RI's 24 offices located nationwide. Likewise, 69,699 calls were answered through its contact center. To improve user service, the RI expanded its communication channels and made an online chat available to the public via its website.

To date, the online chat has assisted 1,602 users with requests related to file inquiries, procedures and services.

Statistics from the first half of the year indicate that, among the services available on the institutional website www.ri.gob.do, in the "Our Services" section, consulting case files is the most frequently used. Nationwide, 26,049 land surveys were conducted and 78,900 legal status certificates were issued.
