Property Registry announces technological maintenance that will affect digital services over the weekend

The temporary suspension of digital platforms and channels is part of a process to strengthen the institution's technological infrastructure

SANTO DOMINGO – The Property Registry announced that it will be carrying out maintenance on its technological systems from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15. This process will temporarily affect various digital services and customer service channels used by users throughout the country.

The institution explained that the work is part of a process to strengthen its technological infrastructure, with the aim of improving the stability, security and performance of the platforms that support registry and cadastral services.

Digital services will be limited

In a notice to its users, the agency indicated that during the maintenance period some of its digital channels and computer systems may experience interruptions or operational limitations.

Although the entity did not specify which platforms would be affected, the measure will impact online services commonly used for inquiries, requests, tracking of files and other procedures related to the Dominican registry system.

Technological modernization in a key system for the real estate sector

The announcement comes at a time when the digitization and modernization of public services has become one of the main challenges for institutions linked to the management of real estate.

The Real Estate Registry is one of the most important entities for the functioning of the Dominican real estate market, because it manages the processes related to title registrations, cadastral surveys and other essential services for owners, investors, developers, lawyers, surveyors and financial entities.

The continuity and availability of their digital platforms has become increasingly important in recent years, especially given the rise in transactions carried out electronically.

Call to plan procedures

Given the temporary interruption of the systems, the institution recommended that users take the necessary precautions and plan in advance any procedures that require the use of the digital services of the Property Registry during the announced period.

The entity stated that the work aims to strengthen the technological capacity of the platform and improve the user experience once the maintenance work is completed.

According to the reported schedule, services should be restored to normal starting at 6:00 a.m. next Monday.
