SANTO DOMINGO.- The Real Estate Registry (RI) has opened a public consultation process to review and update the regulations governing technical procedures related to cadastral surveys, a key step in the functioning of the country's real estate system.
The call, disseminated through the institution's website, is aimed at professionals in the sector: surveyors, developers and interested citizens, with the objective of gathering observations and suggestions on the proposed new technical provision.
The document under consultation establishes the requirements for the technical actions that are deposited before the Regional Directorates of Cadastral Surveys, fundamental processes for the delimitation, registration and legal organization of the land.
According to information , this update seeks to adapt and standardize procedures in accordance with the current requirements of the registration system, incorporating improvements that respond both to the evolution of the construction sector and to the digitization of public services.
The initiative also aims to strengthen legal certainty in real estate transactions, while seeking to streamline the management of technical files and improve the quality of service offered to users.
The entity indicated that the document will be available for consultation on its institutional portal, in the transparency section, where interested parties can review it and send their comments until April 22.
