SANTO DOMINGO..-He visited station four of the Los Alcarrizo cable car and inaugurated an avenue in Manoguayabo, a childcare center and a park in Los Jardines del Norte, this was the varied itinerary of President Luis Abinader, this Saturday, August 13.
The fourth station of the second line of the Santo Domingo Cable Car in Los Alcarrizos, whose progress to date is 85 percent, was visited by the president who reported that the electromechanical component has a progress of 75 percent and the installation of the electrical works 50 percent.
He said that work is underway on the electrical supply for the 21KV circuit that will connect the four stations, through which 163 cabins will pass.
The urban mobility system will impact the lives of 400,000 residents. The project will streamline traffic within Los Alcarrizos and improve connections to the National District, linking in turn to the new Santo Domingo Metro line.
Similarly, the president inaugurated the Los Beisbolistas avenue in Manoguayabo, Santo Domingo Oeste, whose work will also benefit the communities of Hato Nuevo, Batey Bienvenida and will connect with the 6 de Noviembre Highway, Santo Domingo Ring Road and soon with the Los Alcarrizos Ring Road.
The Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascensión, said that the damage to the base, the asphalt surface and the drainage system was repaired, as well as structural damage at critical flood points and on the bridges that make up part of this important road.
"Today we can affirm that the restoration of this avenue contributes to the smooth transit of road users, promoting fuel savings, improving travel and speeding up journey times, as well as preventing vehicle damage and traffic accidents, which translates into a better quality of life.".

Also in the afternoon, the governor led the inauguration of the new Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Center (CAIPI), in La Guáyiga, Pedro Brand.
The Caipi Lebroncito will benefit 250 newly enrolled children who will receive comprehensive, high-quality care, and will allow parents to continue or return to their working lives while their children are cared for by highly qualified professionals.
For his part, the Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascensión, highlighted the fundamental support that these centers represent for the education of the youngest children and added, it was built with an investment of more than 45 million pesos.
And a park
Similarly, the President inaugurated a park in memory of Julio Núñez Rodríguez this Saturday in Los Jardines del Norte.
“I don’t see a park, I see a tribute to a great citizen, Julio Núñez,” President Abinader emphasized.
He added that besides being a good neighbor, friend, and activist, he was also a fighter for democracy, who should be recognized today and always as a good and honest man.
