SANTO DOMINGO- Industrias San Miguel, committed to the preservation of the environment, organized a clean-up day at Buen Hombre beach in the province of Montecristi in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment.
More than 80 company employees joined this noble cause, collecting and sorting 331 kilos of waste, which underlines their commitment to a more sustainable future.
The activity was part of World Beach Cleanup Day, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of keeping our coastlines free of pollution and promoting responsible habits among the population.
Astrid Beltré, Communications Manager, emphasized: “At ISM, we firmly believe in the importance of caring for our environment. This initiative is yet another example of our commitment to sustainability and the preservation of natural resources. We thank our employees and the Ministry of the Environment for joining this cause.”
During the cleanup, various types of waste were collected, including bags and plastics. All waste was sorted and disposed of properly, following the protocols established by environmental authorities, thus ensuring responsible waste management and contributing to the health of the local ecosystem.
Since 2018, Industrias San Miguel (ISM) has organized clean-up days in rivers and seas, collecting and sorting waste. This work reaffirms its strong commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
