SANTO DOMINGO.– Yesterday, Friday, December 22, the Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA) and the Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET) announced the special schedule that these means of circulation will have during the Christmas Eve and Christmas holiday.
OMSA explained in a press release that, for Christmas Eve, on Sunday, December 24, buses will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, for the holiday on December 25, Christmas Day, buses will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In the press release, the entity's general manager, Radhamés González, urged the public to enjoy the Christmas holidays responsibly and without excess. He also recommended that people not drink and drive to avoid traffic accidents and protect their physical safety.
At the same time, he called on users to pay attention to the institution's press releases and social media, as changes will also be made to the service schedule for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Subway and cable car
The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET) also announced the special schedule that the Santo Domingo Metro and Cable Car will have for the Christmas holidays to provide convenience to users.
According to the institution, this Sunday, December 24, the Santo Domingo Metro will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., while on Monday, December 25, it will provide services from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Regarding the Santo Domingo Cable Car, OPRET explained that on December 24th it will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., while on December 25th it will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Finally, the organization wished Dominicans a Merry Christmas and called for them to enjoy the holidays responsibly.
