SANTO DOMINGO.-With the advancement of technology and the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the multiple processes that are developed in companies, many people feel "fear" or are worried about the impact it may have on their permanence in the labor market.
However, according to economist Hernando Gómez Begambre, the arrival of AI is not a threat, but an opportunity for innovation, since it allows for the identification of options to design high-value proposals that satisfy user needs.
This forces entrepreneurs and business owners to adopt a proactive attitude toward change. "Leading companies are constantly innovating," he noted during his participation in the CENI 2024 Expo Forum.

The Cruise on Land project manager indicated that companies rely on two types of innovation: technological and non-technological, where different aspects are integrated that impact its development to achieve success.
"Entrepreneurs must develop innovative strategies to find new markets and acquire new customers," he said, adding that "when you innovate, you achieve change management.".
He asserted that leading companies are those that embrace evolutionary processes and stay abreast of technological developments. "When you innovate, you achieve effective change management," he emphasized.
Gomez encouraged people to think in a way that allows them to "swim in the blue ocean," relying on product design and the creation of an ideas lab.
He explained that when faced with a transformation situation, leaders can adopt a proactive, passive, or reactive attitude, which will determine their success or failure in that situation.
"A firefighter will always be dealing with the urgent. Urgency doesn't allow you to generate a clear development strategy," he stated, arguing that the best attitude towards change is to "lead and promote the change process.".
