First CENI Expo Forum: a showcase of talent with high-level content

SANTO DOMINGO.- Standing in front of a giant screen, two beautiful models from Tu Casa RD gave away a rose and welcomed the arrival of the attendees.

A table was set up at the front of the foyer for participant registration, while various brands placed their corporate pieces, visible to the public, which filled the lobby of the Grand Hall of the Catalonia Hotel.

Inside, the brand representatives settled into their seats and put the finishing touches on the projection of their advertising on the screens designated for that purpose, while the theater-style hall awaited the arrival of the 300 participants scheduled for the occasion.

The protocol team opened the way at ten in the morning, and the guests were received by the Folkloric Ballet of the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) who entertained with a lively merengue, while two giant screens waved the tricolor flag in homage to Dominican identity.

The dance troupe took to the stage to perform the inland merengue, which also paid commemorative tribute to "International Women's Day," whose majority presence in the real estate sector is evident.

A male voice boomed across the stage, offering a good morning. Ana María Ramos, director of El Inmobiliario, took to the podium to welcome everyone, officially present the CENI project, and launch the second edition of the print publication.

There was no room for long speeches. The day promised a varied program with a parade of protagonists, whom an audience with high expectations awaited impatiently.

Brenda Morales took the stage, dressed in white, as per the protocol for speakers. She was one of the most anticipated presenters, and thus opened the event. She began with the topic of the moment, one she represents: tourism; she continued with the Confotur law, which has generated so much interest. She presented masterfully and answered the barrage of questions that followed her presentation, with pleasure and willingness.

Marbel Lugo arrived to thunderous applause, brimming with energy. She thrived on stage, captivating the audience with her coaching strategies, dynamic activities, and motivational skills.

Isely Almánzar, originally from Santiago de Cuba but now living in Havana, arrived with the pressed for time that foreshadowed lunchtime, but she wasn't intimidated. With the wisdom of a seasoned veteran, she proudly presented the "Airbnb Profitability Guarantee," demonstrating that in Santiago, for short-term rentals, she's the one to talk to.

Elia Briceño from the Bricket Group guided attendees towards the sustainable world and healthy communities, with her unique comprehensive constructions that added a different note to the meeting, due to her approach of building based on four pillars: development, sustainability, training and permanence in the project.

Birgitt Heinson arrived with good news from Puerto Plata, the guest destination at the first CENI Expo Forum. A video showcasing the route taken by cruise ship passengers arriving in the "Bride of the Atlantic" enlivened the stage, set to the infectious rhythm of Fefita la Grande and her popular merengue, "Let's Speak English." She spoke about the variety of options this tourist destination offers, about Punta Bergantín, and about the numerous housing projects underway on the North Coast.

Maika Maldonado took to the stage with the natural ease of a seasoned veteran in her field. She guided the questions from the audience. The voice-over kept pace, this time inviting everyone to lunch.

The stage had been beautifully furnished for the main event: the panel comprised of Laura Pérez from Noval Properties, Rodelixsa Manzuela from Keller Williams, and Zoila Abreu from Scotiabank. Annies Gómez from Houselink, vibrant and enthusiastic, moderated with excellence and skill. Luz Sarmiento, CEO of Urban Group, took to the stage to the rhythm of music in tribute to women on their day, danced, got the audience on their feet, and expertly handled the panel's questions.

Coopinmobilia was the invited initiative from the sector, and Cinthia Medina, the general manager, demonstrated on stage that she doesn't need a screen to explain the details of the organization. With complete knowledge and command of the subject, she left with a bang, making it clear that she knows her way around cooperatives.

RE/MAX, the country's pioneering real estate agency brand, filled its turn with María Cristina Grullón and Eliana Guerrero, who, with their experience, guided the attendees through the brand's origins and achievements.

The voiceover that had echoed throughout the day on stage, without identifying itself, had finally arrived to deliver its closing remarks. Dressed in white, matching the speakers, Erick Núñez, one of Tu Casa RD's top salespeople and winner of the 2022 Noval Awards, appeared on stage.

A champagne toast appeared in the room, announcing that the final surprise was about to begin: models showcasing sportswear, men's and women's clothing flooded the stage to seal the conclusion of an exquisite day, made with the care and interest of continuing to contribute to the cause of a growing industry and demonstrating that in the Dominican real estate and construction sector there is no need to import brains.
