BÁVARO, LA ALTAGRACIA.– The Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM) announced this Tuesday that it has obtained the 3Rs Certification in the Gold category for its commitment to sustainability and excellence in environmental management. This certification, awarded by 3Rs Sustainability, is supported by the Dominican accreditation body ODAC and is based on the ISO 17021 standard, which establishes the requirements for the certification of Environmental Management Systems.
As part of its good environmental practices, 3Rs Sustainability highlights CEPM's Integrated Management System, certified by the ISO 14001 standard, ensuring that the company maintains a solid Environmental Management System with effective processes to identify, control and reduce its environmental impacts, according to a press release.
Furthermore, these certifications are complemented by rigorous quality and safety standards, such as ISO 9001 and 45001, consolidating CEPM's position as a leader in the energy industry and establishing a model of excellence in the energy sector.

The press release states that the 3Rs Gold Certification validates CEPM's robust management policies and its compliance with demanding environmental standards, based on the effective implementation of waste management programs, environmental impact analysis, energy saving, water management and air quality control, among other efforts rigorously evaluated in the 3Rs Sustainability on-site audits.
