SANTO DOMINGO– Rita Lissette Castillo Pérez studied civil engineering. She was in her final semester when she got the opportunity to work on a construction site; while there, she discovered that she loved her profession but didn't feel fulfilled, so she thought about venturing into a field related to her studies.
She opted for real estate, sought training, and the more she learned about the field, the more captivated she became. She's been in love with the real estate sector for six years and, in partnership with a friend, launched her own company, with plans to reach as high as God and heaven allow.

She dedicates 15 hours a day to her work; she specializes in second homes, focusing on tourist and luxury properties in the National District, Juan Dolio, Romana and Bávaro-Punta Cana.
Rita values the current positive state of the real estate sector, understanding that it is in a good, stable and sustainable phase, and that despite the pandemic, "which caused a major economic downturn, this sector was key to its recovery.".
He adds another interpretation to the sector's boom, explaining that "the middle class is beginning to adopt the culture of investing in real estate, and this is significantly contributing to the real estate field.".
This astute advisor believes the Dominican real estate sector lacks formality and regulations governing agents, as a large percentage of advisors are completely unqualified to practice. In her opinion, the sector will continue to evolve, adapting to the changes and new trends of the times.
