SANTO DOMINGO.- This Saturday, President Luis Abinader decided to tour the province of Santo Domingo to closely observe the progress of important works being built in this area, including the Andrés overpass in Boca Chica, and the road projects of the Ecológica, Hípica and San Isidro avenues.
The head of state broke ground on the construction of a multi-purpose building in the Isabelita neighborhood and 11 police outposts to strengthen citizen security policy.
The outposts that will be built are Punta Torrecilla, Maquiteria, Los Tres Ojos, Valiente, Las Acacias de Invivienda, Urbanización Italia, El Pensador, Las Lilas, Villa Liberación, Cruce de Guerra, Cancino Adentro, Hainamosa, El Almirante, El Tamarindo, Ensanche Ozama and the emblematic outpost, Felicidad.
Similarly, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascención, the mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Manuel Jiménez and the senator, Antonio Taveras Guzmán, he listened to the construction companies Rizek, Malespin and Moya that are carrying out works in that area.
The president also had lunch with the area's Development Council.
President Luis Abinader promised that the 418-meter overpass being built in Andrés, Boca Chica, will be operational in May 2022 and announced that the construction of the Boca Chica bypass will be completed by the end of the year.
Regarding a bridge being built on Avenida Ecología at the Juan Pablo II highway, engineer Raúl Rizek indicated that it will be ready by June of this year, while the continuation of 11 kilometers of the avenue to the Caucedo multimodal center is expected to be ready by the end of this year.
The president of the Presidential Commission for Provincial Development Support, Ángel de la Cruz, reported that the Isabelita Softball Field is also under construction and is more than 70% complete. Additionally, work is underway on the Ozama River riverbank sports field, as ordered by the president.
Manuel Jiménez stated that this municipality is a challenge due to the accumulated social debts, its size and the space it occupies, and at the same time it is privileged because it has found a president who cares and understands the needs of this district.
During his supervisory visit to the Ecological and Equestrian road works, the head of state took a brief tour of the El Pasivo Municipal Ecological Park.
The extension of the Ecological Avenue will connect from the Santo Domingo ring road, which ends at the Northeast Highway, and from there it will be possible to travel to the Caucedo Multimodal Port, which will be the third phase of the ring road.
It will also connect the Multimodal Port or the Las Américas highway with this part of the Santo Domingo.
He also toured the construction of the Hípica from the San Isidro to the Mella highway.
Likewise, the expansion works of the highway to San Isidro or Colonel Rafael Tomás Fernández Domínguez Avenue will contribute very effectively to a housing development that has been taking place in all these areas.

President Abinader 's agenda also included a lunch with the Development Council, with representatives from all sectors of society, at the Golden House Hotel.
The activity included a review of the actions that have been coordinated, as well as the development plans and projects of the Santo Domingo.
