SANTO DOMINGO – César Medrano and Elizabeth Martínez de Medrano will celebrate their 23rd anniversary with RE/MAX Metropolitana next February. For this married couple, family is the place where values are cultivated and good and bad times are shared, as well as being the primary university of life.
Daily life flows smoothly for this duo, who are joined by their son Eduardo and their network of friends from the agency, where respect and professionalism abound. In the clan they've named AWESOME, they strive to transform differences into opportunities.
“The family is the master laboratory where life begins; it is love, respect, reconciliation, forgiveness, friendship, laughter; it is refuge and shelter. The family is the greatest place of learning for life,” they say.
When detailing the advantages of sharing workspaces, they say there are "many," explaining that opportunities lie in differences. "We work toward the same goal, with the same values and concepts. We create plans for the same purpose, and we accept our differences, correct each other with love, and strive for excellence," this team maintains.
Because their roles are clearly defined, nothing disturbs them when they share the same workspace. “Each of us has specific team development functions where we highlight our skills. This means that even though we're together in the same office, we leverage our professional strengths and work without harming our personal lives,” they explain.
Time has shown them the difference between being coworkers and their relationship as husband and wife. Therefore, respect prevails between them, and they agree not to bring work into their family time. “We always prepare lunch together with our son, which is a beautiful moment to share as a family. We also have our escapes, like César riding his bike and me exercising and reading. We've learned to carve out time for everyone,” they say.
