The Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, announced yesterday , Friday , that the price of gasoline will increase by 12.38 pesos, reaching 276.78 pesos per gallon. Similarly, kerosene will rise to 313.40 pesos per gallon, after increasing by 12.70 pesos per gallon. Fermín also indicated that the Dominican government has decided to maintain the prices of commonly used fuels unchanged thanks to an "extraordinary effort" of 1.16 billion pesos, despite the accumulated increase of 37.2% so far this year.

A woman fatally stabbed a Chinese national in the abdomen last Thursday while they were working at a hardware store on Juan Pablo Duarte Avenue, near the corner of Nicolás de Ovando, in the Gregorio Luperón neighborhood of the National District. The fatal incident occurred, as seen in a video circulating on social media, when the man kicked the woman; she immediately threw an object at him and hit him, and when the Chinese national went to retaliate, she bent down, grabbed a knife, and stabbed him.
