Communicating, loving each other, and not letting differences and egos dominate a discussion is the recipe that has given flavor to 23 years of marriage for this loving duo who exude love from every pore. They define themselves as inseparable friends and partners who decided to share their lives hand in hand and support each other in their crazy adventures.
Víctor Gómez and Yulen Reyes of Plan Maestro Inmobiliaria don't remember the exact time they met; it's not important to them, because other good and pleasant memories fill their minds. "One of my best memories was during Hurricane Georges. Since there was no communication, Víctor rode his bicycle to my house to see if everything was alright. He asked for me, didn't come inside, just wanted to make sure I was okay, and then he left," says the happy wife.
“In my case, I have many pleasant memories, and as I mentioned, we are adventurers, and she supports me in my crazy ideas. I remember that one day at 6:45 I said I wanted a mofongo with goat from the typical Bonao, and she said, 'Let's go.' By 8:15 we were sitting there. It's worth mentioning that we live in the Eastern Zone,” Víctor recounts.

Aaron and Anton, 20 and 14 years old, are the two children born to this union, which understands that the best spark to preserve a marriage lies in sharing, communicating, and dedicating time to each other.
They both work at the real estate company and share challenges that they say keep them closer. “We do everything together: work, travel, eat, and we’re partners in adventure here and abroad. We get along very well; we’re friends as well as a couple,” they say.
In the evenings, after their work they have dinner together and "then we go to the room to chat and summarize what happened during the day and plan strategies for the next one.".
Yulen is often the one who chooses her "surprise gifts" for special occasions. As a wife, she does thoughtful things for her husband, like making him breakfast in bed on special days, and she always waits for him for lunch. They are both from the capital city, and at Christmas they travel with their children to visit relatives who live abroad.
“I would marry Yulen a hundred times over,” she says, wholeheartedly agreeing with him. And they end with the phrase that has kept them together for 23 years: “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me.”.
