SANTIAGO.- With its endless tourism potential, this province has been chosen by “Tourism in Every Corner” to showcase its potential and cultural richness this Sunday, December 18, with a series of cultural activities that will highlight its charms.
The event will be led by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and will take place in the Los Pepines area.
It will begin with performances by the folkloric ballet and typical ensemble of the Ministry of Tourism, the Santo Domingo Group and the musical group “El Son santiaguero”, an event during which music, color and folklore will take over the place, starting at 2 in the afternoon.

This event will feature exhibitions of the most authentic local crafts, artists with brushes, murals, local groups and community participation, among others.
As evening falls, the activity will culminate with top-level Caribbean rhythms with a performance by the Latin Sound Group.
As is now a tradition, son dancers will gather in Los Pepines, giving demonstrations of the contagious rhythm in ''Baila al Son de Antonio KEKA''.
During his last visit to Santiago, Minister Collado announced the complete renovation of its symbolic monument, as well as a clear strategy to boost its City Brand, highlighting the grandeur and tourism development potential of the Heart City.
Tourism in Every Corner will also serve as the engine that will relaunch this city as the main tourist destination of the Cibao, promoting its benefits internationally and driving a development plan of priority works through consensus between the Ministry of Tourism and the main actors of tourism in Santiago.
Previous editions
Considering the enormous ecotourism potential of the Cibao Central region, the Tourism in Every Corner initiative, in its first three editions, in the Hermanas Mirabal province as well as in Monseñor Nouel and María Trinidad Sánchez, successfully promoted and relaunched the best of each locality, supported domestic tourism, and, as an important step, integrated the communities, as has been the objective of the initiative officially launched on August 3, 2022, during an event led by President Luis Abinader and Minister Collado.
