SANTO DOMINGO.-The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) informed the public that this Saturday, November 22, the Floating Bridgeover the Ozama River will be closed to vehicular traffic for two hours to allow passage for a vessel.
The closure will be effective from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in order to facilitate the departure of the M/V Atlanticfrom the Joseph Industrial Development Corp. Shipyard.
The Ministry of Public Works urges drivers and regular users of this road, which connects the National District with the municipality of Santo Domingo East, to take the necessary precautions and use alternate routes to avoid problems during the indicated time.
The provision is part of the maritime coordination protocol, which guarantees the safety of both navigation and those who transit through that structure.
