InmolexRD is a portal through which a virtual office has been launched where people can schedule appointments to receive legal or real estate advice.
“You will be guided from the moment you buy a property, pay bills, manage mortgage loans, as well as receive training on how to prepare to make your investment, how rentals work in the Dominican Republic,” explains Ayamahil Francisco, creator of the initiative.
She is a lawyer, originally from Santo Domingo, who moved to New Jersey City more than a year ago and wants to support Dominicans interested in making investments in her country.
“Four years ago, I started this project managing a portfolio of clients residing outside the Dominican Republic. As time went on, I realized the need that the Dominican diaspora has for a good real estate manager who can manage their properties and provide appropriate advice when buying a property,” explains Francisco.
Among the services offered by the website are divorce management, correction of birth certificates and management of minor exit permits, which the lawyer explains are the most requested services by Dominicans abroad.
“As a complement, we also have a physical space with an office for face-to-face customer service, where we offer notary services, birth certificate processing, translations, immigration processes and taxes, located in the city of Paterson, New Jersey,” says the entrepreneur.
Francisco explains that he has worked in different Dominican State institutions and in private law offices, in addition to completing a master's degree in Advanced Technique in Decision-Making Management at the University of Cadiz, Spain.
“The aim of our project is to make Dominicans feel confident when investing in their country of origin, since over the years poor legal practices and a lack of advice have caused many unpleasant experiences for some Dominicans, leading them to embrace the typical phrase 'I'm not going to make a mistake again by buying real estate in the country,'” explains the lawyer.
Francisco understands that it is time to close the gap that exists between the Dominican emigrant and their homeland, and that her aspiration is to lovingly serve those countrymen who, like her, are far from the warmth of their beloved land.
