SANTO DOMINGO- GCS and Servicios Digitales Popular, under its commercial brand AZUL, announced the conversion of AZUL terminals into banking sub-agents enabled for the entire national banking ecosystem, with this the Mi Punto network increases its capacity exponentially.
The alliance of these subsidiaries of Grupo Popular allows businesses affiliated with AZUL to operate point-of-sale terminals to offer services such as account deposits, loan payments, credit card payments and top-ups, with coverage throughout the territory.
Eugene A. Rault Grullón, executive vice president of Popular Digital Services, highlighted the initiative and indicated that with it, "We combine our network with GCS technology to enable commerce as a channel of the financial system.".
Meanwhile, Carlos Santelises, Vice President and General Manager of GCS, indicated that "This integration allows any banking institution to use the terminals to operate with its clients, expanding access to financial services.".
