Bogotá, Colombia – The rector of the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA), Jimmy Rosario Bernard, held a meeting in the city of Bogotá with authorities from the National Open and Distance University (UNAD), with the purpose of expanding the educational and technological alternatives for the students and graduates of the center.
The meeting was aimed at establishing new avenues of cooperation and facilitating the continuity of professional training for those who complete their programs at the national university.
One of the main topics discussed was a proposal for articulation under the ITLA 2+2 model, through which graduates of technology programs can advance in their educational trajectory and complete a degree at UNAD, expanding their possibilities for professional growth.
Rector Jimmy Rosario Bernard emphasized the value of these collaborations in strengthening international ties and creating new opportunities for graduates. He also highlighted the importance of exchanging experiences and knowledge among institutions that share a vision focused on education, technology, and innovation.

Bernard was received by the Vice-Rector of Intersystemic and International Relations of UNAD, Leonardo Evemeleth Sánchez Torres, and the Dean of the School of Basic Sciences, Technology and Engineering (ECBTI), engineer Claudio Camilo González, with whom he discussed possible collaboration initiatives between both higher education entities.

Duration
First 2 years: The student studies and completes their technologist degree at the local university.
Second 2 years: Continue your higher level preparation at the partner university to complete the cycle and obtain an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
