SANTO DOMINGO.- If you are interested and qualify to work on cruise ships, the Ministry of Labor and MSC Cruises, in collaboration with INFOTEP, the National Institute of Technical and Professional Training, are calling for participation in recruitment events to work on cruise ships in Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo and La Altagracia.
The ministry specified that these vacancies are aimed at candidates for both basic and managerial positions, with all levels of experience and training.
According to a press release, the hotel services company has vacancies available in food and beverage management, waiters, bartenders, cooks, cleaning staff for kitchens and common areas, adult and children's entertainment, and multilingual guest services or receptionists.
The document states that preference will be given to multilingual applicants and people with prior experience on board passenger ships and in the required fields, as determined by the contracting companies.
The Ministry of Labor clarified that the intermediation process for the company MSC Cruises is completely free of charge.
Protocol for applications
The first stage of selection will be carried out before January 14, 2023, and will be done according to the information provided in the registration forms, which can be filled out by accessing the following link: Crew Recruitment Event Cruises.
Then, an in-person interview will be coordinated with the shortlisted candidates as part of the second stage.
Finally, the candidates will be contacted directly and personally according to the contact information provided, the ministry explains in the statement.
Document Reception
The following days will be received in Puerto Plata: January 19 and 20, 23 and 24 in Santo Domingo, and 26 and 27 in Higüey, La Altagracia.
In Puerto Plata, the event will be held at the Montemar Hotel Management School of Infotep, located on Prolongación Hermanas Mirabal. The Santo Domingo event will take place at Avenida Henríquez Jiménez Moya, number 5, in the Ministry of Labor building.
The one in Higüey will be held at the Infotep Hotel School, located on Avenida La Altagracia at the corner of Juan 23.
