SANTO DOMINGO.-The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (Opret) reported that, although on a special schedule, the Santo Domingo Metro will continue operating during the Easter holiday.

On Good Friday, this transportation service will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

OPRET also specified that on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, service will be offered from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Santo Domingo Metro will resume its regular schedule on Monday, April 1.

On the other hand, the institution reiterated that service on Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Cable Car has been interrupted since March 23 due to scheduled maintenance and service will be restored on Monday, April 1.

To facilitate the mobility of the Cable Car users, buses from the Metropolitan Office of Bus Services (OMSA) have been arranged at no additional cost, which will offer services from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. during Holy Thursday.

On Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday, OMSA buses will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
