TSA again rejects construction of Bávaro International Airport,
The Second Chamber of the Superior Administrative Court rejected the contentious appeal of the Bávaro International Airport (AIB) against the decision of the Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), declaring that infrastructure harmful to the collective interest and ordering the suspension of the construction work of the same.
With that decision, the third against the AIB in the judicial system, the arguments of that project fall apart, as the judicial authority orders the indefinite suspension of it.
Savers who have validated their data at Bancamérica now represent 63% of the bank's deposits
As of yesterday afternoon, 2,064 customers of the intervened Bancamérica bank had completed the initial validation of their account data in order to recover their savings.
The Superintendency of Banks informed Diario Libre that the savings of these depositors exceed RD$1,933 million and represent 61.62% of the deposits of the financial entity that is in the process of dissolution.
RD$327 million awarded to improve family homes
Banco Ademi continues to focus on improving the quality of life of Dominican families with its home improvement program called CrediMejoras.
In the recently developed version of the fair , a total of 1,673 loans were made, for an amount of RD$327 million; for an average of RD$175 thousand per loan , impacting the same number of families nationwide who managed to improve the conditions of their homes.
Guillermo Rondón , CEO of Banco Ademi, reported that since 2016 the program has granted a total of 12,818 loans for an amount of RD$1,929 million .
Thescanner will inspect 1,000 containers per day
In 2021, the port managed by the concessionary company Haina International Terminals (HIT) saw more than 1,587 ships pass through at a time when 40 containers were inspected every 24 hours; however, now the port terminal will be able to monitor close to 1,000 containers in a day, thanks to the installation of a new X-ray equipment.
At an event led by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, details were offered about this scanner that will allow the inspection of between 40 and 50 containers in less than two hours.

President Luis Abinader announced that this year the Government will transform 79 traditional high schools, located in different regions of the country, into polytechnic schools.
The initiative was announced at the launch of the program “Improvement and Expansion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Art”, which aims to develop employability skills for young Dominicans.
Abinader declares the regulation of lottery banks to be of national interest
President Luis Abinader declared the regulation of lottery banks operating in the national territory to be of national interest this Wednesday.
The decision is contained in Decree 63-22, which also gives the Ministry of Finance the responsibility to develop or propose the regulatory instruments that are necessary for the Regularization Plan.
Executive proposes attorney general be appointed for a 6-year term
