SANTIAGO.-The Ministry of Housing and Buildings, MIVED, began construction work on the first Health Center in the "La Joya" sector of this municipality.
The first shovel of the work was thrown by the minister of the institution, Carlos Bonilla, accompanied by the president of the Senate of the Republic, Eduardo Estrella and the governor of Santiago, Rosa Santos.
The infrastructure will be built on 234 square meters, distributed over two levels with medical offices, immunizations, waiting room, administrative office, emergency, among others.
During the event, Minister Bonilla said he is committed to supporting the growth of the health sector, a fundamental pillar for the development of the province of Santiago and the entire nation.
“Health is a fundamental right that every citizen has and that we as a state must guarantee. Today, we are proud to say, as the Ministry of Housing and Construction, that the construction of a better future for Dominicans is in our hands.”.

This modern structure will have an emergency room for adult and pediatric patients, five specialty offices for internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and psychology; an immunization area, general services, among others.
