SANTO DOMINGO- From ten in the morning to one in the afternoon, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) will close vehicular traffic on the floating bridge located over the Ozama River today, Saturday, May 27.
Through a statement posted on its social media, Public Works reported that the closure will take place for the control of the water lilies.
The MOPC apologized to the public, especially to those who travel along that structure, for the inconveniences caused.
The aforementioned bridge connects the National District with the municipality of Santo Domingo Este in the province of Santo Domingo.
It was built in the late 1990s, on the Santo Domingo Port Avenue (Av. Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó), as an alternative to connect with Avenida España and the eastern bank of Santo Domingo.
