Texas crude oil opens with a 0.20% increase, reaching $103 per barrel,

The price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil began trading today with a slight increase of 0.2%, to $103.19 a barrel, after Russian President Vladimir Putin accused kyiv of trying to bog down negotiations to end the invasion of Ukraine.

Data-Crédito is acquired by the US multinational Equifax

The US-based multinational consumer credit reporting company Equifax has acquired Data-Crédito, a Dominican company with a long history in the local credit reporting sector, founded in 1998. The acquisition marks Equifax's entry into the Dominican Republic, where it employs more than 15,000 people in over 20 countries. It is one of 11 acquisitions the company has made in the past year.

Prices for all fuels will remain the same

For the week of the 19th to the 25th of this month, all fuels will maintain the same prices as the previous week, as announced this Friday by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM). Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will remain at RD$147.60. Premium gasoline will continue to cost RD$293.60; regular gasoline RD$274.50; premium diesel RD$241.10; and regular diesel RD$221.60.

Trusts gain ground in the Dominican Republic due to security and transparency

The trust structure is gaining ground in the Dominican financial system due to the transparency and security it offers, stated Fiduciaria La Nacional. The company explained that these attributes have made the trust structure an increasingly important tool in the country thanks to the trust it generates.
