SANTO DOMINGO.- Renewing, energizing and donating is the philosophy that the second Thursday of each year supports the Keller Williams initiative, to mobilize thousands of real estate agents affiliated with the franchise around the world, who put their corporate social work into action.
“Keller Williams' mission is based on building a great life for you and those around you. In other words: building careers worth having, businesses worth owning, lives worth living, experiences worth giving, and legacies worth leaving,” explains Giovanna Saco, the country's lead regional operator.
May 11th is the date set for this year, the day on which the Keller Williams family will close their doors to visit, share and bring to vulnerable communities a portion of what their work has allowed them to, with donations to homes and institutions in need.
“Every second Thursday in May, Keller Williams agents around the world, leadership team members and associates, put aside their daily work responsibilities and proudly wear the brand's red t-shirt to help in their area with three goals in mind: renew, energize and donate,” Sacco explains.
All offices in Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, and the North Zone will close on the aforementioned date to participate in the global event. “Each of our Market Centers will be impacting an organization of their choice, so we will be visiting different areas,” adds the KW Dominicana executive.
For Keller Williams agents, explains Giovanna Sacco, the idea of helping people in their community goes beyond business. “In fact, this is a fundamental part of the KW culture,” she points out.
This year the selected causes include the Hogar Renacer Hijas de la Caridad, Hogar del Niño Buen Samaritano in San Juan de la Maguana, Mata Mosquitos, where house repairs will be carried out; and the Hogar Salvando Niñas con SIDA (Sanisi); in addition to some entities in Santiago de los Caballeros.
Sacco says that over the years, “our agents have built houses from scratch, gathered and distributed food to those in need, organized relief efforts in the face of natural disasters, and raised money to donate to charities that are very important to them and to the people in their area.”.
About RED Day
Since May 2009, from the United States and Canada to the countries where it has a presence worldwide, Keller Williams has donated hundreds of thousands of hours to its local communities each year during RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize, and Donate. Each Market Center selects a charity and dedicates a day to helping those most in need.
