SANTO DOMINGO.- The Real Estate Registry (RI) and the National School of the Judiciary launched the work Law 108-05 commented by title registrars and in which 16 representatives at the national level participated, who presented a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the piece from their perspective.
During the event, engineer Jhonattan Toribio, general manager of the RI, explained that the book is a key contribution to charting a course towards greater efficiency and optimization of the system in the country.
“"Society is aware of the importance of the advancement of the institutions of the Dominican real estate system," he declared.
For his part, the National Director of the Registry of Titles, Ricardo José Noboa Gañán, said that the published work is a valuable contribution to the interpretation of Law 108-05 on Real Estate Registration and its guiding principles. "Its legal content enriches the analysis and understanding of this important piece of legislation," he affirmed.
Indhira del Rosario Luna, the registrar of titles in Santo Domingo and co-author of the work, explained that the document confirms the commitment of title registrars to guarantee legal security in real estate processes, while thanking all those who were involved in the process.
The work, which allows for a deeper understanding of property ownership and real estate registration in the country, is available in the virtual library of the National School of the Judiciary (ENJ), for the entire legal community and the general public.
The title registrars who commented on the work were Carmen D. Alcántara Portorreal, from Mao; Daysi De la Rosa, Santiago; Evanna M. Batista Garrido, from Monte Plata; Frank Wilber Santos Vásquez, from San Francisco; Indhira del Rosario Luna, from Santo Domingo; and Janny De los Santos, from Cotuí.
Also Jenny Evelyn Lantigua Lora and Joselin B. Vásquez Morel, from the National District; Kenny Carolina Marte Castillo, from San Cristóbal; Lina M. Álvarez Holguín, from San Pedro de Macorís; Massiel E. Lizardo Pérez, from Higüey; Melinton Ortiz Jiménez, from Puerto Plata; Raysa Tejeda Carbajal, from Santiago; Rigoberto Lorenzo Ybert, from Baní; Rudilania De León, from Nagua; and Zunilda Ant. Reyes De los Santos, from Santo Domingo.
The launch was attended by judges of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), advisors of the Council of the Judiciary (CPJ), title registrars, directors of cadastral surveys and judicial servants.
