Real estate and construction sectors express solidarity in the face of the Jet Set collapse

SANTO DOMINGO.- Representatives of the real estate and construction sectors expressed their solidarity yesterday with the tragedy that occurred early Tuesday morning, after the roof of the emblematic Jet Set nightclub collapsed, the entertainment venue where every Monday the traditional dance was held that brought together the various sectors of society, who came together to enjoy the occasion.

The collapse occurred while the renowned merengue singer Rubby Pérez was performing at a party, with a large crowd in attendance. Tragedy struck early Wednesday morning, April 9th, when authorities reported finding 98 dead and more than 150 people taken to hospitals.

“From this platform, we join in mourning with the many families affected by the collapse at a well-known nightclub. Events like this remind us how fragile life is and the importance of taking care of each other,” stated Alveare Realty.

Carvajal Polanco y Asociados Ingenieros-Arquitectos extended its sincere condolences to the families of the victims involved in the tragedy. "We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and we want you to know that you are not alone in your grief," the firm said in a post.

Estela Casanova Real Estate expressed its condolences to all the families mourning the loss of a loved one, following the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub.

“We deeply regret the tragedy that occurred today at the Jet Set nightclub. Out of respect for the victims, we have decided to postpone the launch cocktail party for the Acoprovi 2025 golf tournament, scheduled for this Tuesday, April 8,” Acoprovi stated in a post yesterday, Tuesday.

“At Urban Group we deeply sympathize with the pain of all the families and people affected by the tragic accident that occurred in Jet Set,” the real estate firm posted on its Instagram story.

RE/MAX Dominican Republic joined the nation in mourning. “We trust the authorities and emergency teams who are working tirelessly to clarify the facts and provide answers to those still awaiting news of their loved ones,” the franchise stated.

“At Tricasa Real Estate, we are deeply saddened by the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub. In moments like this, only love and solidarity can embrace us as a people,” the agency posted on its Instagram account.

Plusval Dominicana, Echenique Real Estate, Élite House, Tu CasaRD and Modern Properties also raised their voices in solidarity to lament the events that have filled the entire Dominican population with mourning.

They are inviting people to donate blood

Mr Home and Arenal Inmobiliaria invited the public to donate blood and give a chance at life to those fighting to survive.
