SANTO DOMINGO.– The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) informed the public that this Saturday, November 30, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, work will be carried out to replace the automatic transfer switch of the emergency power plant located in the control center of the tunnel on Avenida Las Américas, between Avenida Sabana Larga and Avenida Venezuela, in Santo Domingo Este.
According to a statement from the state agency, these works will require the disconnection of the medium voltage line, which will cause the tunnel to be in darkness until the work is completed.
The MOPC urges users to exercise caution and drive with moderation during this period, reducing speed and keeping their vehicle lights on to ensure their safety.
They thanked the public in advance for their understanding and cooperation while these works, which directly impact road safety, are carried out.
