SANTO DOMINGO.-The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced this Monday that it will begin work on Wednesday in the municipality of Sabana Grande de Boya, Monte Plata province, with the "Public Works with the People" program, which will address various problems affecting the quality of life of that population over a period of 45 days.
The official launch of this plan will be led by Minister Deligne Ascención, during an event to be held in front of Central Park and the City Hall, at 10:00 a.m., according to a press release.
"For 45 days, the MOPC, through its various departments, will be carrying out actions to repair, pave and signage of streets, sidewalks, curbs, construction and repair of houses, sports fields," the press document details.
He adds that he will also carry out medical operations, in which assistance will be provided in different specialties, such as cardiology, gynecology, dermatology, urology, pediatrics, among others.
In addition, there was a comprehensive program of fumigation, cleaning of ravines and drains, distribution of drinking water, tree pruning, among other things that will benefit the inhabitants of this municipality.
It details that the MOPC is currently reconstructing the streets of the Las Flores sector, La Candelaria, as well as sidewalks and curbs in the Antonio Guzmán sector, the local road that connects Sabana Grande de Boya with the Juan Pablo II highway, the pouring of the front wall of the headwall and wing walls in the double culvert.
