SANTO DOMINGO.- Technology is here to stay, and with it comes the development of numerous online services that allow citizens to shorten bureaucratic procedures and save time and money.
El Inmobiliario conducted a survey in several state agencies to determine the online services offered by various government institutions linked to the sectors of our target audience: construction, real estate, and tourism.
The Single Window for Construction (VUC), an achievement of the current government, leads the list of online services offered. It is an integrated system that aims to modernize the processing and issuance of licenses and permits for the benefit of the construction sector.
In this way, this platform is promoted as a tool that helps to streamline and facilitate, in one cybernetic location, the accreditations necessary to develop works.
The virtual system serves as a link with other related institutions for procedures in the construction sector.
Another new platform is one.mitur.gob.go. It is the Ministry of Tourism's online services portal, which can be accessed from the institution's website.
This is a platform that offers updated statistics on the number of visits to the online portals of the Ministry of Tourism, the number of applications for licenses and permits by the Central Unit of Tourist Procedures (UCTT) and the number of tourist visits up to last August.
The website allows users to access news, reports and the transparency section, as well as consult the UCTT, establishments that offer tourist services and tourism investment projects.
It also has a tourism intelligence system that provides statistics to analyze the sector and as input to promote tourism projects.
Another section allows you to review the operating licenses granted by the Ministry of Tourism to suppliers, access information on support projects for the tourism sector through the Tourism Development Council, among other interesting information.
The list of online government services also includes the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), another institution that is very active on its website. Upon entering https://www.mopc.gob.do/, are greeted with the message: “Chat with us right now.”
The platform was contacted by el Inmobiliario through a customer service representative, who reported that the chat service is available Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm.
In addition, through the MOPC's institutional website, users can access an online catalog that includes the acquisition of services, complaints, suggestions and purchasing processes, both from the aforementioned entity and from the RD Vial.
Additionally, there is a satisfaction survey that was used to be filled out by El Inmobiliario and another survey about the website.
The list of institutions offering virtual services includes the Real Estate Registry, which has an extensive catalog that seeks to provide information and manage applications.
The list of services offered on this website includes the virtual title registration office that allows users to submit their files to the competent Title Registry.
Furthermore, it allows for the property location function using cadastral positional designation, which El Inmobiliario used to verify its effectiveness. This feature facilitates locating a property geographically.
Other options for internet users of the Real Estate Registry include file consultations, pre-control, and a virtual office for surveyors.
The portal assures that this last one allows interested parties to submit their files to the competent Regional Directorate of Cadastral Surveys through a Virtual Office dedicated to surveyors.
Another alternative shown by the platform is the option to check the hearing schedules of land courts nationwide.
