 SANTO DOMINGO.- Kinnox held a meeting in Punta Cana with its key partners to discuss the national and international regulations and quality controls that govern construction rods imported from Costa Rica to the Dominican Republic.

The company's commercial manager, Junior López, highlighted the importance of complying with Quality Regulation RTD 458, which imposes strict controls on the import of steel bars and related products, emphasizing its relevance to guaranteeing safety and quality in buildings, according to a press release sent to El Inmobiliario.

“This event presents a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices within the construction industry. Furthermore, it fosters strong relationships with our partners, thus contributing to further enhancing quality and safety in the sector,” the executive commented.

The event, held at the Four Points By Sheraton Puntacana Village, was attended by construction companies from the eastern region, engineers, architects and developers, as well as industry experts and professionals committed to the sustainable and safe development of construction projects in the country.

The meeting provided the ideal forum for a detailed discussion on compliance with national and international regulations and certifications. In particular, the RTD 458 Quality Regulation, which imposes strict controls on the import of steel bars and related products, was addressed in depth.

During the activity, a talk entitled "Regulations, Quality and Innovation in Steel for Concrete Reinforcement" was offered, led by electromechanical engineer Carlos Berrocal Jiménez, who is part of the Technological Institute of Costa Rica.

During the talk, this expert in long steel products from ArcelorMittal for the Central America and Caribbean region shared his knowledge, experiences, and detailed best practices in the construction industry.

Also present at the meeting were Daniel Escobar, Kinnox's administrative and financial manager, and María Del Risco, the company's sales and marketing superintendent, Roberto Montes from Eskalia Investments, and more than 25 invited construction companies who shared in the event.
