SANTO DOMINGO. – The Paradisus Palma Real hotel, located in Punta Cana, was recognized as "Hotel of the Year" during the fourth edition of the National Tourism Award 2025.
This award highlights the excellence, innovation and commitment to sustainability of companies that raise the quality standards in the national tourism industry.
The recognition of Paradisus Palma Real is due to its outstanding management during the last year, which included an ambitious renovation of its facilities, the implementation of sustainable practices and a focus on offering a personalized and luxurious experience for each guest.
The evaluation committee highlighted the hotel's ability to integrate luxury, local culture and environmental responsibility, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the Caribbean hotel industry.
The National Tourism Award- explains a press release - has established itself as a benchmark for identifying and rewarding projects and companies that actively contribute to the development of Dominican tourism, promoting competitiveness, respect for the environment and cultural authenticity.
“This award reflects the daily efforts of our entire team to offer memorable, sustainable, and world-class experiences. We are deeply honored to be recognized as Hotel of the Year and reaffirm our commitment to excellence and innovation in tourism,” said Paula Forero, General Manager of the Paradisus Palma Real, during the awards ceremony.
The document adds that Paradisus Palma Real has a solar panel plant, composed of 901 solar modules and 500 kWp of installed power, which allows it to offset all the energy used by the hotel's convention halls, as an example of sustainability practice.
Similarly, among its offerings is the "Destination Inclusive" program where they offer their superior attribute guests a selection of unique experiences, both inside and outside the resort, carefully designed to create a total immersion in the local culture.
Operated by the renowned international chain Meliá Hotels International, the establishment has previously been awarded for its leadership in ecological initiatives, training programs for local staff and its exclusive all-inclusive proposal with authentic elements of Dominican culture.
