SANTO DOMINGO.- The Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA) announced this Friday that it will be offering free transportation service during the New Year holiday on most of its routes.
Exceptions are those belonging to the Integrated Transportation System, the Cable Car-Huacalito corridor and the Cable Car-Km. 9 Duarte corridor, and those that charge with electronic payment, the Ciudad Juan Bosch and Lincoln corridor.
The information was provided by the entity, through a press release which also informed the service schedule of the transport entity during the end-of-year holidays.
On Sunday, December 31, New Year's Eve, OMSA buses will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., while on the January 1 holiday, buses will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The entity's general manager, Radhamés González, asked citizens to welcome the new year with prudence, without going to excesses, but above all, not to drink alcohol if they are going to drive.
He also wished the entire population a happy and harmonious New Year's Eve and a prosperous and blessed New Year.
